Swimming guides wanted for a small group of young people

For a group of young people (15-24 yrs) with a severe multiple disability (partly wheelchair-bound), the supervision of De Boemerang child day center is looking for one or more volunteers who want to help with swimming. 3 or 4 young people go to the Sherpa swimming pool at the Zandheuvelweg. If you can swim and you want to help with changing the youngsters and give them a good time in the water, please contact us. The swimming is on Monday afternoons from 12.30 pm and 2.00 pm and / or on Wednesday morning from 10.45-12.15 am.

Working hours: Monday between 12.30 pm and 2 pm and / or Wednesday between 10.45 am and 12.15 pm

Special Conditions: We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who can swim and wants to help with changing the youngsters. You can come to the Boemerang (Laapersveld) or directly to the swimming pool.

Training method and guidance: Volunteers are indispensable. We realize that very well. That is why Sherpa in turn wants to take good care of the volunteers. There will be an introduction to see if this volunteer vacancy suits you. If you decide to assist us with this, you will work together in an enthusiastic team of supervisors.

You will be asked for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). We take care of the application for you free of charge.

Every volunteer is insured during the execution of the work and you will of course receive a reimbursement for your travel costs. A party evening for volunteers is organized once every two years. Of course you will receive a Christmas package and the Sherpa magazine twice a year.
