Ondersteuning voor de leerlingen die in ons interne opleidingstraject zitten. Zij hebben extra hulp nodig bij het theoretische deel van de confectielessen.
Bij Sheltersuit Foundation is onlangs een interne confectie opleiding gestart waarbij een klein groepje "het vak" leert. Tijdens deze les krijgen ze een combinatie van praktijk en theorie.
Door het leren van een vak en het verbeteren van de Nederlandse taal, vergroten ze hun kansen in de arbeidsmarkt.
Wat is jouw rol?
Je ondersteunt de docent met het aanleren van de theorie over confectie. Daarnaast help je de cursisten met hun werknemersvaardigheden, je helpt ze op een positieve en vriendelijke manier. Gelijk ons motto: "People Helping People".
Wanneer?
Op oproepbasis; elke woensdag en donderdag ochtend van 9:00 tot 13:00.

The water and windproof jacket is designed to keep people warm and dry at temperatures below zero. We make these Sheltersuits and give them to homeless people for free, not only in the Netherlands but all over the world. We do this with volunteers, interns and refugees and asylum seekers.
In the past year we made 1,000 sheltersuits and distributed them for free. In addition, we have been very busy setting up our foundation and our studio and helping the volunteers to find a house, setting up integration lessons, organizing driving lessons, opening bank accounts etc. Everything to ensure that the help that we receive from them is experienced as mutual and that is fantastic!
Thanks to the positive reactions and the necessary help, we are continuing this project and expanding it.
