Detailed description
Our beautiful Drenthe heath sheep herd and brand-red cattle eat year round from the estate. In the winter, bales of herb-rich grass are mowed in the summer.
Jacob's herb is poisonous for sheep and cows, and they know that only too well when it is in the field. Only when they are offered it dried in the winter do they sometimes eat it. With all its consequences.
That is why we pluck the cross-herb every year just before the flowering period. The so-called Jacobs Crusade. Who helps with it?
