The Red Cross helps people in need. We do that around the corner – and far away. We do this from the heart and with our sleeves rolled up. And we do this with many volunteers who work with passion. We operate worldwide from our seven founding principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntariness, unity and universality.

As the Red Cross, we are active at various times and locations in North and Central Limburg. Event support is one of the most important activities of the Red Cross. We provide first aid and professional medical assistance. The bike team is deployed when emergency responders need to be on the scene quickly.

We are looking for a

Bike Team Coordinator (voluntary)

What are you going to do?

• You are responsible for the daily management of the Event Support bike team, the follow-up and the processing of support requests;
• You ensure that both the (mountain) bikes and the associated equipment are in good condition;
• You evaluate and identify any bottlenecks regarding the bike team;
• You make the planning and take care of the administration;
• You are responsible for professionalizing and improving quality;
• You are also responsible for keeping the knowledge and training of the members of the bike team up-to-date.

Who are you?

• You have an MBO work and thinking level;
• You have a valid 'Comprehensive First Aid' certificate, a certificate of participation 'Handling walkie-talkies and mobile phones' (or are willing to obtain one) and a valid certificate 'Providing first aid at events' (or you are willing to obtain this);
• You have management experience;
• You are good at communicating, organizing and collaborating with a team;
• You subscribe to the seven basic principles of the Red Cross;
• You are available for this position for about 3 to 6 hours per week.
