Summary
Do you have a heart for people and the Red Cross in your blood? The Red Cross focuses on preventing and limiting the consequences of an emergency. We focus on making unsafe homes safe. To help as many people as possible with this, the Red Cross has developed a workshop on the importance of being well prepared for an emergency. Students become aware of risks at home, receive tips and can ask for advice. In order to be able to give these workshops you will first receive a training. We give you handy presentation techniques, so that you can get started well prepared.
Detailed description
What are you going to do?
- You give workshops on the importance of preparing for emergencies.
- You provide at least 6 to 10 workshops per year for a duration of 2 years. These workshops are about, for example, fall, fire and burglary prevention.
- If you wish, you can plan and organize the workshops yourself, but this can also be done by the coordinator.
What is your profile?
- You stand your ground in front of the group and you know how to inspire people.
- You have an affinity with safety and danger prevention in and around the home.
- You can keep a professional distance in combination with showing commitment.
- You have knowledge and insight into the importance of a network in emergency situations.
- You endorse and propagate the basic principles of the Red Cross.
- Applying for a VOG is part of our appointment procedure.
