UNICEF Almelo is looking for a voluntary chairman to put UNICEF firmly on the map again in the region.
UNICEF has an assignment : Ensure that each country respects and respects the rights of children, which are enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This is the best job you can get and that UNICEF wants to fulfill in the best possible way together with governments, companies, individuals and children. In the Netherlands we are assisted by several thousand volunteers. Through their active efforts these volunteers in the Netherlands contribute to the work of UNICEF.
With this 'unpaid but unaffordable work' you contribute a contribution to the welfare of children all over the world.
UNICEF Almelo
UNICEF would like to work with UNICEF's volunteer team in Almelo paving the way. We have the ambition to use new activities to appeal to new target groups throughout Almelo and surroundings. That is why we are now looking for a new chairman who sees a challenge in putting UNICEF in Twente on the map in this way. The current team consists of a handful of volunteers.
Our volunteers carry out activities on the one hand, with which they raise funds to enable the work of UNICEF. On the other hand, they bring the work to the attention of various target groups. In the region, UNICEF provides volunteers, including guest lectures at primary schools, organizing events, carrying out deposit refunds, deploying (social) media, organizing UNICEF, and approaching sports clubs and companies. There is a lot possible, if appropriate to the strong image of UNICEF.

Profile
The chairman of the UNICEF volunteer team in Almelo knows how to bind people with inspiration and enthusiasm to UNICEF, preferably has a strong network in the region or possesses the right competences to build one on behalf of UNICEF, is communicative, influential and has good meeting skills. The chair is available on average 4-6 hours per week.

- Work with fellow volunteers towards an effective organizational structure and culture
- Monitoring the quality and continuity of (the activities of) the team
- Leadership and coordination of (the activities of) the team
- Taking the initiative and leading team meetings
- Representation
- Responsible for the UNICEF policy on the team
