Design and implementation rainbow plan, specifically around coming out weekend

Do you like organizing and planning, do you enjoy contributing to the LGBTQ+ community in Velsen and do you want to contribute to social initiatives?

Then we are looking for you! With our volunteer work you gain experience with event management. You participate in creative projects aimed at promoting the emancipation and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people in Velsen.

This includes organizing the theater talk show Under the Rainbow in the Stadsschouwburg Velsen, promoting the involvement of residents of the municipality of Velsen in our Rainbow Policy and (co-)organizing the Rainbow movie breakfast for secondary school students.

Background:

Since 12 October 2018, the municipality of Velsen has been a Rainbow municipality. This means that we actively develop policies for the acceptance and emancipation of lesbian women, gay men, bisexual, transgender and intersex people (lhbtiq+). Since 2019, we have been working on the spearheads together with regional and local partners. In April 2021, a collective of these partners, under the name 'Rainbow Brigade', presented their action plan to the city council. Since then, the Rainbow Brigade has been putting the action lines into practice. The Velsense Regenboogbrigade is looking for extra reinforcements. The plans are there, but we need extra hands on a number of actions. We are looking for a proactive person who can work well together.
