About Projectvoice Uganda

The stories about the nightmare in the African slums, overpopulation, little or no running water, no or rickety shelter, high crime, prostitution and teenage pregnancies, many HIV / AIDS, many street children, they are widely known.

The people of the Project Voice Foundation have their roots in the slums of Kampala in Uganda. As Project Voice we want to do something for our fellow man who had to flee in 1994 because of the war in Rwanda and now lives in poverty in the slums of Kampala. The women, the children and especially the widows, the orphans, the HIV / AIDS infected. We want to get them out of the vicious circle of desperate poverty and disease, give them access to healthcare and help them become economically independent.

The Board of the Project Voice Foundation consists of African and Dutch people who live in Kampala as well as in the Netherlands.

The foundation aims to give the most vulnerable a chance for an independent life by:

* Building wells and sanitation.

* Making provisions for the school building and providing teaching materials.

* Establishing a sewing workshop. Providing (sewing) vocational training for 50 single women and HIV / AIDS mothers.

* Building a poultry farm. Training for accounting and keeping

chickens and chicks and possibly a pig farm.

* Providing medication.

Project Voice wants to work for the people in the slums of Kampala so that independence is restored, both financially and socially. How important it is for mothers to regain hope for a better life. Project Voice is committed to it.
