Plant shelter is looking for social media volunteer

Do you have a green heart? Interested in sustainability? Would you like to give visibility to the activities and mission of our plant shelter through various social media channels on a voluntary basis? Plant voor Plant is looking for someone who wants to help with the adoption of orphan plants via Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

What does Plant for Plant do?

Plant for Plant is a plant shelter for Maarssen and the surrounding area. It is a green initiative (a place) where rotten, outgrown or unwanted plants can be donated and adopted. New trees are planted at home and abroad with the adoption proceeds. With this we want to contribute to unnecessary waste and to a greener world. Step by step… Plant by Plant.

What will your input be?

• You manage our Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp group together with another volunteer.
• You write and post nice messages a few times a week and/or share appropriate posts from others. Putting plants up for adoption through the above channels is your most important task.
• By giving visibility to what we do and what our mission is, you help to further develop Plant by Plant.
• If you want to take the pictures of the plants in our shelter yourself (on Wednesdays when we are open), that is a nice advantage. The same goes for making compilation movies… that would be nice, but not necessary.

Who suits us?

• Someone with a green heart, who would like to contribute to reducing consumption and making the world greener. You like to find green facts and care tips for plants online. You definitely don't have to be a plant expert, but you do have a passion for plants.
• You like writing (flawless Dutch) and the 'tone of voice' of Plant voor Plant appeals to you.
• Basic knowledge of Facebook and Instagram would be nice.
• You have a feel for atmospheric photos and possibly moving images.
• You like to work independently, but you are open to consultation and ideas from others.
• You have a smartphone and/or computer with which you can log in to our channels from home.
