For the Pim & Pom Festival we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers (21+) who want to help with this party for children up to 7 years old and their parents.
From August 29th to 31st, we'll transform the Zwitsalterrein in Apeldoorn into an enchanting world for children up to 7 years old and their parents. Doors are open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The entire festival will breathe the atmosphere, style, and cheerfulness of Fiep Westendorp's iconic characters Pim & Pom. Who didn't grow up with these mischievous feline friends? Their stories, humor, and colorful flair are the common thread throughout this unique festival experience.
To make this fun festival a success, we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers (21+) who would love to help out. Do you love a party, are you sociable, and enjoy working with children? Then this is for you!
Your duties will be varied: you'll help at the entrance, welcome visitors, fill and distribute the "Bags Full of Fun" goodies, keep an eye on the bouncy castle and adventure trail, or supervise creative craft and painting activities. We're also looking for someone who enjoys reading to the little ones.
You'll be part of a friendly team, bringing smiles to everyone, young and old. You can help out for just one day, or even more!

The Pim & Pom Festival, a unique festival for young adventurers! Who doesn't know them? The iconic Pim & Pom characters from the oeuvre of Fiep Westendorp. They are now getting their own festival! The Pim & Pom festival at the Zwitsalterrein in Apeldoorn.
We are looking for volunteers to supervise this festival. Age 21 +, various activities. Supervising the kids with, among other things, craft activities, reading aloud and supervising the adventure trail and bouncy castle.
From 29 to 31 August 2025, the Zwitsalterrein will be transformed into a festival site especially for children aged 2 to 7 and their parents. This is the first festival in the Netherlands that revolves entirely around the fantasy world of the youngest festival-goers.
Based on the iconic Pim & Pom, known from the TV series on ZAPP and the legendary illustrations by Fiep Westendorp and stories by Mies Bouhuys, this festival brings a unique mix of play, experience and creativity. Children dive into a world full of interactive play zones, enchanting theatre performances, inspiring craft workshops and playful encounters with Pim & Pom themselves. This festival stimulates all the senses and lets the imagination run wild.
And of course there is plenty for parents to enjoy! There are cosy corners to relax, with a cup of coffee or a tasty snack. Because the Pim & Pom Festival is not only for children, but also for parents who want to enjoy a special day out with their little ones.
