About Nova College
Language volunteer in the NT2 class
Do you want to volunteer for our non-Dutch speaking students and help them improve their language skills in the international transition class? Register now as a Language volunteer 🌟
To increase the success of non-Dutch speaking students in the ISK, Language volunteers are used within regular language education at Nova College.
What will you do?
Supporting a non-Dutch speaking student in learning Dutch as a second language. Think of having a conversation based on an assignment and helping a student with their language assignments within the NT2 class (NT2 teacher is always present).
And let's be honest, what could be more fun than building a bond with enthusiastic non-Dutch speaking minor students who have just arrived in the Netherlands and really helping them with Dutch?
• Goal: Improving the Dutch language skills of non-Dutch speaking students.
• Time investment: In consultation, at least 1 ½ hours per week.
• Budget: Unfortunately, we do not receive regular funding from the government, so we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers.
Who are you?
For the Language Volunteer Project, Nova College would like to get in touch with enthusiastic volunteers.
What can you expect from us?
• Instruction: As a volunteer, you will receive clear instructions in advance and there will be an intake interview to see if our expectations match. You will also be guided during the process by an experienced NT2 teacher from Nova College.
• Location: Nova College, Beverwijk location, Laurensbaecklaan 25. With a bus stop nearby and free parking.
Are you enthusiastic?
