Are you an organization talent and would you like to help us with the Dam tot Damloop? With 100 riders, we will run again in September to have children in Guatemala go to school!
Every year there is a Damloop committee at Niños de Guatemala of about 5-8 volunteers. They ensure that 100 riders will run the Damloop in September for children in Guatemala. Together the riders pick up between 25,000 and 30,000 euros and the committee inspires them to do this. In the run-up, the committee is responsible for the recruitment of riders, the communication to involve them in our schools, meetings prior to the Damloop and the organization on the day of the Damloop itself. With 100 riders we close after the Damloop with a party in our own party tent!
You get a lot of space for freedom and own input. Together you determine what your focus within the event management will be on: recruiting volunteers, organization around the Damloop, media & communication, recruitment or finding sponsors.

Ninos de Guatemala (NDG) wil de cirkel van armoede in Guatemala doorbreken en gelooft er in dat educatie het grote verschil kan maken. NDG biedt onderwijs aan meer dan 500 kinderen die anders niet naar school waren gegaan. NDG is 10 jaar geleden in samenwerking met de lokale bevolking opgezet door drie ambitieuze Nederlandse studenten. Inmiddels heeft NDG twee basisscholen en één middelbare school. Daarnaast heeft NDG 3 sociale ondernemingen opgezet om zo eigen inkomsten te generen: een talenschool, een impact touroperator en het Good Hotel.
De Nederlandse stichting helpt om zoveel mogelijk mensen het verhaal te vertellen, enthousiast te maken en zo er voor te zorgen dat we financiele steun kunnen bieden aan de scholen in Guatemala.
