About NUMMES
NUMMES stands for Nonprofit Universal Modular Medical Education System. It is a vision for a modular health education system, where people will be trained through a combination of work and learning. This system will consist of 30 levels, starting from unskilled and ending at the level of an accomplished doctor.
Through training in knowledge and skills, plus gaining experience under supervision, you can move up from general health care worker to nurse, and then to the level of junior doctor. After that you can develop yourself into a full doctor. At the moment this is not yet a recognized system, but only a vision.
I'm currently looking for a whole team of volunteers, such as doctors, nurses, IT people, PR people, online researchers, and more, who can and want to help transform this idea of a vision into an active organization. So we are now in the early stages, and any help is welcome!
