Do you have an affinity for children and language? We're looking for two volunteer readers for our daycare center in Apeldoorn.
Moviera stands for tackling domestic violence. We have several shelters where we offer shelter and support to victims of violence, often mothers with children. The childcare at our Apeldoorn location plays a vital role in providing a safe environment, helping children process their experiences, and supporting them who have experienced domestic violence.
We are looking for two reading volunteers for our shelter location in Apeldoorn
Some children need extra support, for example, with their language development. By reading aloud to individual children, you stimulate their language development. You also offer them some extra attention and a pleasant atmosphere.
You'll read aloud for an hour once a week. The times are negotiable. There's always a professional nearby.
We offer:
- Working in a team with enthusiastic colleagues.
- Intervision and support from the volunteer coordinator.
- An expense allowance and travel allowance.
- A meaningful way to spend your free time with us and enjoy it.
What do we expect from the volunteers:
- You like working with children.
- You have demonstrable experience reading to children.
- You are available for a longer period of time (at least 6 months).
- You are reliable, independent and friendly.
- You have a sense of the vulnerability of our target group.
- You stand firm and can set boundaries.
- You are able to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct.
- You can endorse the organization's code of conduct, including that regarding privacy-sensitive data.
