Would you like to join our team of volunteers?

Moviera stands for tackling domestic violence. We have several shelters where we offer shelter and support to people who have experienced domestic violence. The goal is to help them regain independent living. Moving from the shelter to their own home is a major undertaking. That's why we really need your help. This could involve painting, laying laminate flooring, assembling a cupboard, hanging curtain rails, and/or installing lamps. But if you enjoy choosing curtains with someone or browsing online marketplaces, we'd also love to hear from you.

We offer:

- Gain experience in helping people who are returning to independent living.

- A meaningful way to spend your free time with us and enjoy it.

- Travel expenses reimbursement.

- You will become part of a team of enthusiastic volunteers.

- Flexibility: times are negotiable and depend on your availability.

- Support by the volunteer coordinator.

What do we expect from a volunteer:

- You own a car and are handy with DIY.

- You are available for a longer period of time (at least 6 months).

- You are flexible. The timing of your volunteer work depends on when someone moves out of the shelter.

- You are reliable, independent and friendly.

- You have a sense of the vulnerability of our target group and you can also set boundaries.

- You are able to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct and a reference.

- You can endorse the organization's code of conduct.
