Information on Mild Intellectual Disabilities
In 2022, Zuid Doet Samen and MEE will organize a series of information sessions for the residents of Apeldoorn-Zuid.
On Tuesday, September 27, it will be about Mild Intellectual Disabilities.
Every day you meet many people. Among them may be people with a mild intellectual disability (LVB). Perhaps someone from your immediate environment. Because this disability is not visible, you do not always recognize it.
Knowledge about recognizing and dealing with people with LVB can help you to understand the other person better and to make communication run more smoothly. Which allows someone with LVB to participate better in society. Because participating, belonging, using your talents, everyone wants.
This LVB information session consists of theory, videos and experiential exercises that will give you more insight into what LVB entails and what impact it has on the life of the person themselves and their loved ones.
Of course there is also room for questions.
