Residents with dementia who live at De Matenhof attend the day care program. They are provided with structure through various activities.
You'll work alongside a staff member. We're looking for volunteers who enjoy actively contributing to this group of residents by simply being there. They can provide extra attention to the residents, participate in activities, and provide small assistance as needed. We regularly take residents for walks, so we expect volunteers to be mobile.
There is room for day care on the following parts of the day:
Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 2 p.m. to approximately 4:15 p.m.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.
At KleinGeluk, we never miss an opportunity to promote the well-being of seniors. As a volunteer, you're invaluable to us! Sharing small moments of happiness together makes people feel valued. That's what we do it for.
We offer guidance and, if needed, you can participate in workshops to develop new skills. You can start working for just a few hours a month.
Good to know: as a volunteer you are insured (third party liability and accident insurance) and before starting work we request a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
