Join the team of Caravan festival! We are looking for volunteers who want to help build, think along and experience. As volunteer of Karavan you will see plenty of location theater, you stand among the visitors, performances, theater maker and dozens of other volunteers and you will be taken to extraordinary locations in the Greater Alkmaar region.
From Ascension to Pentecost is the 26th edition of Karavaan Festival with location theater throughout the region and a festival heart at the Doelenveld in Alkmaar. Block your agenda for a theatrical cycling route, extraordinary location theater at special places and attractive arrangements for a whole day or evening out. Moreover, every day there is free street theater and live music in the festival heart, you will find crazy installations and you will eat a delicious meal in pop-up restaurant Tineke Kookt.
In 2019 the theme is: Eigen Grond.

About Stichting Karavaan Exceptionel
De Stichting Karavaan Exceptionel ontwikkelt, presenteert en produceert podiumkunsten op locatie. Kernactiviteit is het jaarlijkse Karavaan Festival in de regio Groot Alkmaar. We maken daarnaast een vervolg op het talentontwikkelingstraject de Winterkaravaan waarvan de eerste editie in 2016 was en hebben een jaarlijks terugkerend nieuw festival in de Haarlemmermeer ontwikkeld: Grazende Zwaan. Ook doen we diverse projecten op locatie, op eigen initiatief of op aanvraag, van klein tot groot. De monumentale locatie (die in de volksmond heet:) De Drie Kronen aan het Luttik Oudorp 114 in Alkmaar is de ontmoetings- en inspiratieplek van Karavaan. Hier kom je voor kunst, koffie (en lekkers) en flexplekken.
