Assistance with youth sailing on the Apeldoorns Canal

Do you like working with water and sailing boats, then this is for you!

Next summer, every Sunday and during the holidays, every weekday with 3 to 4 boats will be sailed on the Apeldoorns Kanaal at the Kanaalstraat in the center of Apeldoorn. We are looking for volunteers, both young and old.

The work consists of early morning transport over a short distance to the canal and preparing the boats for sailing under the guidance of our sailing instructor. At the end of the day you help clean up the boats. In the meantime you assist the sailing instructor in giving sailing lessons. You learn everything about navigation and sail trim and you do not need to have any experience.

In consultation with the sailing instructor, it can be determined with which tasks you will help. Anyone over the age of 15 can sign up, also for incidental help. If you are younger than 14, you will receive free sailing lessons (if there is space available).

We ask

Enthusiastic people who want to roll up their sleeves for the tasks with the boats. If you also want to supervise the children, we ask for communication skills with children.

Time use

in consultation with our coordinator and sailing expert. It concerns the summer period from 1 June to the end of August.
