Board member with Portfolio Finance

IVN Natuureducatie is looking for a board member with a portfolio of Finance for the National Board of the association that wants to contribute to the mission of IVN based on substantive knowledge and involvement. For this vacancy we are looking for a candidate with outstanding expertise in the field of organization and finance.

The function

The board member with Finance portfolio is responsible for the financial policy of the Association, for the information required for planning, implementing and monitoring the policy and for external reporting. You are part of the National Board. You co-lead the association and attend board meetings (six times a year) and National Council meetings (four times a year). & Nbsp;

In carrying out your duties you will be supported by the Finance and Finance department. the Volunteers Department of the IVN Foundation. The Administration of the Association is an integral part of the administration of the Foundation. & Nbsp; The average time for board members is about 1 to 2 half-days per week. & Nbsp;

Developments in the position

The association and the professional organization have adopted a new long-term vision that sets the course for the next five years. Part of the vision is an exploration of a possible new form of governance for IVN. The discussion about governance may also have consequences for the financial organization of our organization. We expect the new board member to play an important advisory and guiding role in this process.

The tasks

As a board member with the Finance portfolio:

• You are responsible for the financial policy of the association.
• Support your other board members in drawing up a multi-year budget and annual budget.
• Consult with the department Finances of the Foundation on the administration of the Association.
• You - in consultation with the Volunteers department - provide the explanations for the preparation of plans and reports, and advise the National Board to take actions.
• Talk to the financial committee that checks the financial policy on behalf of the National Council.
