Home-Start Family support Enschede
We are there for:
- Families with children up to 14 years (Home-Start)
- Families involving youth care (Wel Thuis)
- Pregnant and parents with children up to 1 year in Enschede up to 4 years in Hengelo (Mammacafé)
What we do:
Our experienced and trained volunteers offer a listening ear, share their own experience as an educator, support with practical help or relieve the parent by doing something with the children. They come home to the family once a week for about a year.
What do we want to achieve:
That parents will regain their strength and from there can offer a positive parenting climate in which the children can develop. In addition, we also want to prevent larger problems through the preventive deployment of a volunteer.
The value of our support:
Scientific research into Home-Start has shown that the well-being of parents increases, shows more positive parenting behavior and positively changes the behavior of the children. These improvements are long-term.
Research by van Montfoort into Wel Thuis shows that there is more rest in a family, a better parenting situation and parents become more active.
