Wanted: a board member for the Apeldoorn Hospice Foundation for the HRM portfolio

Hospice Apeldoorn is a warm professional volunteer organization. We provide care to people in the final phase of their lives, together with a nursing team. There are different groups of volunteers, each with their own tasks.

The board of our hospice also consists of (5) volunteers. Due to the expiry of the term (3 x 3 years) of the current board member with the HRM portfolio, we are looking for an enthusiastic new colleague with:

Experience and/or affinity as a board member;

Knowledge of and/or affinity with the hospice;

Social involvement and representativeness for the region;

Willing to read up on national and regional developments in healthcare, volunteer work and informal care;

Willing to read up on the care processes regarding palliative care and be able to translate these into guidelines and procedures together with the coordinators and the chairman;

Willing to read up on personnel policy in healthcare;

Being able to maintain the right balance between administrative distance and proximity;

Based on the content of the volunteer work, be open with the coordinators and volunteers

be able to discuss their experiences, views and emotions and provide feedback where necessary;

Being able to listen well and do justice to the input of the various parties;

Be easily approachable for the various disciplines.

Time commitment:

An average of 5 board meetings per year. An additional meeting will be held in special situations.

Regular activities regarding human resources;

Participation in the coordinators' meeting is desirable;

It is desirable to lead intervision groups with volunteers;

Participation in theme groups is desirable.

The position of board member is an unpaid position;
