Summary
Linking volunteers to children and adults with disabilities at home - and their carers.Detailed description
As a volunteer at Handjehelp you help children and adults with disabilities at home. For a number of children we are looking for volunteers and/or families with space in their hearts and homes. Nick is looking for a nice family where he can play for an afternoon, because his mother has a disability, Dani of 15 wants to practice traveling by public transport and Jason of 9 wants to stay with a family once a month for the weekend.

Place: Maarssenbroek.
Day(s) and half-days:
- Every day of the week: During the day and evening
Working hours, frequency and duration: 1-2 hours per week / per month (in consultation).
Skills:
Do you, or does your family have space in your home and heart to take care of a child? You don't have to do any special activities. Often just being part of your family is special enough. As a host or guest family you can be of great significance to a child. And it is a special way to be able to do something for someone else as a family.
General:
From 'simple' volunteer work to help requiring specific knowledge or experience. The help is given one on one. This means that you have your 'own' person requesting help, who you visit in his or her house. Our volunteer work focuses on social contact for a longer period of time. Where necessary, we help, support and guide you. If you have no experience with people with disabilities, that's no problem. We look for a question that suits you.
Induction method and guidance:
In addition to individual guidance, there is an extensive range of training and guidance to follow. And a non-binding conversation with a Handjehelp coordinator is always possible. We hope to hear from you.
Expense allowance: Travel expenses.
