Summary
Linking volunteers to children and adults with disabilities at home - and their carers.Detailed description
Selina (31) has three children with her partner. A daughter of 8, a daughter of 6 and a son of 2. Three cheerful children who can play wonderfully. In the busy family life, a bit of relief for mother is very nice. She has rheumatism and is therefore less available for her children. It costs mother and father a lot of energy in addition to his work to take care of the family. They would like to divide the attention between the children.
Can you help the whole family by spending some time with (one of) Selina's daughters and being a sympathetic ear for mother? At Selina (or at your) home or playing outside together, to the playground for example. Can you come one afternoon during the week or on the weekend? That would help mom a lot!
Are you looking forward to having a good time with Levi? Then sign up!
Place: Maarssenbroek.
Day(s) and half-days:
- Tuesday to Friday: in the afternoon
- Weekend: Daytime
Working hours, frequency and duration: 1 x per week/2 weeks, 3/4 hours
Skills:
Someone who is free-thinking and thinks in possibilities. A great sparring partner for mother and a listening ear. Easy to get along with and set boundaries for the kids.
General:
From 'simple' volunteer work to help requiring specific knowledge or experience. The help is given one on one. This means that you have your 'own' person requesting help, who you visit in his or her house. Our volunteer work focuses on social contact for a longer period of time. Where necessary, we help, support and guide you. If you have no experience with people with disabilities, that's no problem. We look for a question that suits you.
Induction method and guidance:
In addition to individual guidance, there is an extensive range of training and guidance to follow. And a non-binding conversation with a Handjehelp coordinator is always possible. We hope to hear from you.
Expense allowance: Travel expenses.
