Fête de la Nature in Gelderland!

This summer there are two 'Fête de la Nature' projects. This project focuses on organizing a nature party in Gelderland. Fête de la Nature

Nature inspires, amazes and makes you happy. With Fête de la Nature we celebrate nature! Fête is a grassroots nature festival, which means that everyone can organize a nature party themselves. There is not one organizer of the festival, but together we involve people in nature in a way that suits them. This means that every year it is a surprise what kind of events and parties are organized. There are no ticket sales, profit motives or festival regulations.

Fête is about celebrating and in nature. This can be done through education, but also in other ways: through music, art, food or sports, for example. A campfire evening with musicians is Fête, but also a nice nature excursion. Fête is about the connection between people and nature, but also between people in nature.

Your effort

As a trainee you will devise, organize and implement a nature party. At a very special green location, namely in the middle of woodland and heathland near information center 't Leesten near Apeldoorn.

You make a scenario for the nature party, make agreements with the location, take care of a promotion plan and recruit at least 30 partygoers. You provide an interesting program during the party and you have an active role in this by providing an activity at the party (perhaps: theater, singing, dance, yoga class, painting, sports, excursion) something that you have experience with. The target group for the party are people between the ages of 18 and 35 who do not yet know much about nature. During the preparation and during the party you report on the activities with 'storytelling' (with #ivnachterdeschermen and a guest ranger blog). You are responsible for the budget.

The concept that you come up with as trainees is divisible and scalable for subsequent years during Fête de la Nature. You come up with a way to present the concept in an attractive way to IVN, Staatsbosbeheer and other involved partners. In addition, you will get started with an appropriate follow-up for the participants of the nature party.

Who are you?

• You love a party and nature, but you don't need to know much about it.
• Your education level does not matter, as long as you are between 16 and 27 years old.
• You are creative, you are interested in event management, guiding activities and you enjoy networking.

Accompaniment

The trainee group is supervised at the start of the day and at the end of the day by the project leaders of IVN and Staatsbosbeheer. In addition, the project leaders are of course a source of information in the interim and depending on the needs of the group or an individual, the guidance can be adjusted. You get a mentor, someone who looks at personal development goals together with you.

What are you going to learn?

During this traineeship you will receive interesting workshops and training. Think of a workshop Scrum (project work), Storytelling, Communication and Social Campaigning, and also a nature experience such as bushcrafting or Muir trek. You will also have the opportunity to take a look at the organization of IVN Nature Education and Forestry Commission.

With this traineeship you will work on your skills in the areas of: event management, project work, collaboration with various external organizations, communication and promotion, team building, product development, networking and you gain practical experience.

When?

• The traineeship runs from July 20 to September 7, 2021
• You work 2 days a week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, 6 hours a day on this traineeship (of course possible to do more)
• Fete de la Nature is on September 3, 4, 5
• The national start day is on July 3 (with all green traineeships)

In total you will work for 15 days incl. At least 1 day in the weekend Fête de la Nature!

Corona

Of course we would prefer to work together physically on this traineeship. In doing so, we always take the applicable measures into account. If physically is not possible due to the corona measures, we can partly convert the traineeship to digital. In addition, we can of course also meet at an outside location to work together instead of at the office.

The nature party itself will take place at the location with groups of limited size. According to the measures in force at that time is permitted. In other words, different scenarios are needed, an extra challenge with this Green Traineeship!
