Do you enjoy talking to the elderly and would you like to help us discover how people over 80 in Velsen can be better supported and helped?

What specifically will you do?

• As a visiting volunteer of the Congratulations Service, you pay a short visit to 80-year-olds in Velsen around their birthday.
• You are committed to engaging in conversation with 80-year-olds and listening to their needs with respect for other people's opinions.
• You identify needs for support that can make life easier and/or more pleasant for people over 80.
• You support and encourage people aged 80 and over to make use of available support and/or activities.

What can you expect from us?

• When you start with us, you will receive professional training in identifying needs. This provides the necessary skills and techniques to successfully engage in conversation.
• Flexible working hours. Are you available in the morning, afternoon, evening or even several half days a week? We would love to hear from you!
• You will join an enthusiastic and committed team of visiting volunteers.
• You can visit the elderly in your own environment.
