Who are we?

Emmaus Feniks (EF) is a thrift shop and living/working community according to the ideals or vision of the international Emmaus movement: living together, working together and sharing together.

Mission and core values

Emmaus Feniks is committed to returning value to people and materials. Everyone has the right to a place to live, work and have people around them, in an environment that is managed sustainably. You have respect for others and your environment.

We work on the basis of the principles that every person, regardless of race, religion or origin, has the right to fully participate in society and that every person, regardless of background, education or problems, can make a valuable contribution to realizing this.

We form commuting communities in which people who choose to live and work together with people who want to change their homeless existence. We also form thrift shops where people can gain work experience and find meaningful daytime activities.

Income

We do not receive any structural subsidies from the church or government. We earn our money mainly through the sale of the second-hand goods that have been offered to us or that we have collected from customers' homes on request.

Activities

It's mainly about picking up/delivering stuff.

The volunteer

• Is enthusiastic and enjoys working in a small team
• Is strong and can carry and lift well
• Is in possession of driving license B
• Can work well within a team of volunteers

We offer

• Every year a fun day is organized for all volunteers.

Time commitment

Two days a week from Tuesday to Saturday.
