Energy Ambassador

The Sustainable Vecht Foundation is committed to making our beautiful municipality more sustainable. We are here to inspire, inform and connect on the themes of sustainable living, sustainable living and sustainable business. To make our impact even bigger, we are looking for an Energy Ambassador (volunteer) 4-8 hours a week

Under the theme "sustainable living", we want to enthuse the residents of the municipality of Stichtse Vecht to eventually make their houses energy neutral ("0 on the meter"). For this it is necessary that houses are better insulated, solar panels are installed, heat pumps support or take over the task of the central heating boiler, etc. To bring this to the attention of the residents, we organize meetings (webinars and physical) and we speak with residents individually.

Energy ambassadors - are the point of contact for a core, district or neighborhood in the municipality of Stichtse Vecht. - hold energy advice discussions via the energy desk, online (often with a colleague) or at people's homes - (help with) organizing information meetings and saving campaigns - depending on their interest, may also be involved in, for example, making company buildings, sports facilities or developing lessons for young people. These activities are set up and carried out from subgroups with a few colleagues. Everyone does this on the basis of availability and personal preferences are taken into account when allocating the tasks. We are happy with commitment that varies from a few hours a month to several days a week.

About you

You are an enthusiastic person who supports the goal of making houses energy neutral. You have an MBO/HBO work or thinking level and you are motivated to participate in the energy transition to “get houses off the gas” in the municipality of Stichtse Vecht. You • Have an affinity with energy saving, but you certainly do not need to have in-depth knowledge of it.

We help you to acquire the necessary knowledge by means of meetings and courses. • Likes to advise residents of the municipality personally or in larger groups on how they can reduce their energy consumption by means of insulation, solar panels, (hybrid) heat pumps, etc. • Are able to (help) plan meetings and make choices between how and about which topics is communicated. • Makes contact with the municipality, neighborhood organizations and organizations that can support the implementation/installation of energy-saving measures. And you are • Able to work project-based and result-oriented within the available resources. • Collegial and communicative: you can easily collaborate with colleagues and are not afraid of a presentation. • Customer-oriented: you are used to working in projects with both internal and external partners and parties. • Working on his own; you set high standards for quality, you know what needs to be done and you have the seniority to be able to set priorities yourself • Careful and transparent in your work.
