Treasurer wanted for the board of Don Bosco Apeldoorn

Who are we?

Don Bosco is committed to promoting the well-being of (socially vulnerable) young people. We are a small but powerful player that is agile and able to respond quickly to social issues that young people face. We develop approaches and implement them. Our motto: roll up your sleeves, practical wisdom and decisiveness! Within the social domain, we are distinctive in our focus, vision and working method.

In our work we are inspired by the ideas of the 19th century priest Don Giovanni Bosco. He developed the 'preventive system', which is related to contemporary constructive social pedagogy (such as the approach of Prof. Micha de Winter) and the Theory of the Presence of Prof. Andries Baart.

Activities

The treasurer is a member of the board and is responsible for drawing up the budget and annual accounts. The executive activities are performed by the (voluntary) administrator.

We ask

Someone with financial knowledge and experience in preparing budgets and annual accounts. It is also nice if the treasurer has a network in Apeldoorn.

We offer

Working together in a committed group of people with a heart for young people.

Time use

The board meets 10 times a year, approximately 2 hours per meeting.
Once a quarter, the treasurer meets separately with the administrator and the director.
The time burden is somewhat greater with regard to the budget and the preparation of the annual accounts.
