In the Netherlands, around half a million people suffer from some form of depression every year. The Depression Association is the patient association for people with depression and their loved ones. Join us and ensure more openness, more contact and more research.
If you have depression, it helps to talk to fellow sufferers. There is a simple reason for this: real understanding is mainly found among people who know what you are experiencing.
That is why the Depression Association organizes more than 60 support groups throughout the Netherlands. Not only the participants in these groups, but also all discussion leaders know what it is like to have depression. They use their own experiences to offer others something of inestimable value: recognition and understanding.
Online support groups take place completely digitally at least once a month. These groups are a solution for people who are unable to travel, find a physical meeting too confrontational or scary, or for some other reason prefer to seek support online.
