Detailed description
I am looking for a volunteer who wants to support a 9 year old boy as a reader (language buddy). He has been in the Netherlands since 2023 and is in group 4, but has difficulty reading and writing. He mainly needs support with spelling, grammar and expanding his vocabulary.
His teacher thinks he would benefit greatly from extra help with reading and language exercises. His mother is taking an integration course, but her command of the Dutch language is unfortunately insufficient to support her son in this. The school also has limited possibilities to offer extra help.
It would be great if you as a volunteer could help this boy improve his language skills at school.

DE STUT is an intercultural social work organization that offers guidance, coaching, support and advice to the family system and individuals. (child, youth, adults and elderly). We offer outpatient care, mainly to refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and newcomers in different age categories.
