We are looking for volunteers who want to be deployed in the neighborhood de Maten. Volunteers who want to support vulnerable people in the home situation.
Who are we?
De Kap is a foundation for informal care. She is literally and figuratively at the heart of Apeldoorn society. From its beautiful location in the center of Apeldoorn, de Kap offers help and support in the home situation. This concerns care and support for which insufficient or no appeal can be made to formal care or the social network. De Kap facilitates and supports and is based on people's own strength. It is there for those seeking help, volunteers and carers. De Kap works closely with the municipality and other organisations. Within these networks, knowledge and expertise in the field of voluntary work and informal care policy is made available and shared.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to be involved in:
A lady with limited vision and limited mobility who would like to walk in a wheelchair once a week with a volunteer (m/f). If possible on Thursday afternoon.
A lady who hit a ball on the tennis court until she was 81. This lady would love to talk about sports with a volunteer (m/f) once a week. Mrs. watches a lot of sports on TV.
A sociable, chatty man who would like to talk to a volunteer once a week about cooking and classic cars. (Also repairing it). mr. has worked in defense and likes to talk about it. mr. would prefer to receive the volunteer in the evenings.
A gentleman who likes to walk in the living room 1 or 2 times a week (about 30 minutes). mr. is afraid of falling.
The task of the volunteer (m/f) is to support Mr. while walking.
A lady who would like to have a nice chat once a week because she is lonely. We are looking for a positive volunteer (m/f) who likes a nice chat.
We ask
Someone who cares about people and who enjoys doing something for someone else. If you want to be there for the other person, if you have attention, time and understanding, then you are most welcome with us.
Our volunteers work independently in people's homes. This requires an open and respectful attitude, but also guarding your own boundaries.
Volunteering in informal care is a conscious choice, an investment that also pays off. Volunteering gives satisfaction and energy!
