Employees Sunday afternoon Drop-in center De Herberg

From Sunday to Friday, the De Herberg drop-in centre opens its doors to its visitors every afternoon. On Sundays, this is from 13:30 to 15:30. Once every two weeks, a short celebration is held.

As an employee of the drop-in centre, you provide a hospitable welcome to visitors and offer them a pleasant atmosphere and a listening ear. Before the doors can open, you and two other employees ensure that tea and coffee are ready. You serve this during opening hours, as well as bread that visitors can ask for. In addition to serving food and drinks, there is usually plenty of room to talk to visitors or play a game, for example. We see this contact as the most important part of what we do.

After closing the doors, you and your team ensure that everything is cleaned up.

The visitors of the drop-in centre are very diverse. What they have in common is that they come to meet (each other) and have a good time. It is also true for most of them that life is not always easy and they experience difficulties in several areas of life. We find it important that everyone is welcome here and that everyone is held in high regard as a person. Circumstances do not change that.

In terms of availability, we ask for a minimum commitment of 2x per month, so that a bond can be built with the visitors.
