Are you passionate about communication and do you want to play a key role in an organization where socially vulnerable people in particular feel at home? Stichting De Herberg, a warm drop-in center in the heart of Apeldoorn, is looking for a committed and creative board member for the PR/Communication portfolio.
About De Herberg: De Herberg functions as a living room where people with social, financial, psychological, mental and housing problems can go for a listening ear, meals and various activities. We also offer a postal address and personal support during office hours. Our activities are aimed at improving the quality of life of our visitors and strengthening community spirit.
Role description: As a PR/Communication board member you play a crucial role in promoting our mission and vision, both internally and externally. You are responsible for developing the communication and fundraising strategy that is in line with our Vision2025 policy document. This means that you actively contribute to supporting our general coordinators and fellow board members with innovative communication initiatives and fundraising strategies.
What we are looking for:
• Experience with PR, communications and/or fundraising.
• Affinity with the target group and the mission of De Herberg.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic and creative communications plans.
• A team player who can work together within a diverse management team. • Willingness to actively contribute to the foundation and its goals.

At De Herberg we not only offer a listening ear, but also meals and participation in various events
activities. We also facilitate a letter address and consultation hours where personal attention is central. We strive to respond to the needs of our visitors with our activities, in order to contribute to a better quality of life for our visitors.
