Volunteers wanted for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Stichting Pierrot

We are a volunteer organization that provides weekly dance lessons for over a hundred participants with an intellectual disability and/or autism. Dancing together and having fun with a group of participants where you can be yourself and where you matter. That is what it is all about for us. We have 6 groups and each group needs approx. 5/6 volunteers. For the youngest group on Wednesday from 17:00 to 18:00 we currently urgently need HELP!! Feel free to call and I will be happy to tell you about these fun dance evenings.

Activities

1. Guiding participants before, during and after dancing
2. Thinking of music and dances to this music
3. Prepare and complete the lesson together with the other leaders.
4. Assist with performances and the annual dance party for participants

We ask

Involvement with our target group and the drive to make it an enjoyable dance lesson for the participants.

We offer

• Fantastic motivated participants between the ages of 18 and 75, who look forward to an hour of dancing and moving to music every week.
• A close-knit group of 34-40 volunteers (some have been volunteers for over 30 years) with very diverse backgrounds.
• Large network (volunteers, parents, caregivers, etc.) we do it together!
• An annual training meeting and festive end-of-year event (Christmas/New Year).

An inclusive society is a goal we strive for. We therefore seek cooperation with other parties in the field of dance and expression and want our participants to be seen as full-fledged people of our society who contribute in their own way to a humane society.
