About Salland Cricket Club

Salland CC was founded on May 5, 2005. The vision of Salland CC is to be a sporty and financially healthy association in the Deventer region with a good long-term existence. There is room to play both performance and recreational cricket.

Salland CC is one of six associations in the Netherlands with so-called grass pitches. Grass pitches are the international standard on which cricket is played.

Since 2010, Salland CC has One Day International (ODI) status. Many matches of representative teams are played in Deventer every year. The Dutch national team is a regular guest in Deventer to play important matches.

Salland CC is the only association in the Netherlands that has two fields with grass pitches and therefore has a unique position in the Dutch cricket world. In Deventer you can only play on grass.

Salland CC has been promoted many times since it was founded in 2005. The first team has been playing in the Dutch big league for several years, the second highest level in the Netherlands. In addition, two teams play in lower classes and the association has a growing youth department. Salland CC is the largest cricket association in the east of the Netherlands.

An extensive coaching staff provides training and education for players.
