Become a suitable reading consultant at CBB!

The Netherlands is becoming increasingly gray. And with that, the number of elderly people with a visual

restriction also increases rapidly. Become a Consultant Fit Reading and help the elderly to keep reading!

The function

As a consultant (volunteer) you look for these elderly and you make them the way to a suitable reading form. Think for example of spoken books or books with extra large letters. You will be introduced to the extensive range of more than 75,000 books, newspapers, magazines, radio plays and lectures in suitable reading formats.

How are you going to do this:

 You introduce older people to Fit Reading by (co-) organizing

reading activities, for example reading clubs, in local care homes.

 You help people, on request, one-to-one when registering with Passive Reading and borrowing

the first books.

 You provide information about Fit Reading on local information markets.

We are looking for consultants in the regions of The Hague, Utrecht, Gelderland and Friesland.

The chain Fit Reading consists of the library service Fit Reading, the Christian Library for the blind and visually impaired (CBB) and Dedicon. We strive to give as many people with a reading limitation as possible access to the world of knowledge and culture. We are therefore constantly working
