Do you live in Breda and do you have technical knowledge that you would like to share with people? Are you interested in energy-friendly living and do you like to do something together with your neighborhood? Then being a volunteer for Neighborhood Power might be something for you.
Neighborhood is working together with your neighborhood or village on energy saving. You contribute to the environment and it is also good for the wallet and living comfort. Approximately 70 Neighborhood Neighborhoods and Villages are active in North Brabant. Neighboring power is free and non-commercial.

Who are you?
You are a technical man or woman who would like to contribute something to society. You are enthusiastic about saving energy and you can work together with people in, for example, a neighborhood or village team.
How does Buurkracht work?
If you join forces with Buurkracht, you will have your own neighborhood supervisor. That is Steve Duzanson for Breda. An energy consultant will also come to your neighborhood to show you savings opportunities. You and your neighbors, among other things, gain insight into your own energy consumption via a personal page on buurkracht.nl. You can use our heat camera and you get help when organizing neighborhood meetings and saving actions.
What are you going to do?
With you neighborhood team you explore the best ways to save energy together Which measures best suit your neighborhood? How can you increase the energy awareness of your neighbors? You use the experiences of your neighborhood supervisor and you invent fun actions and ideas yourself. Activities include:
- Consult with your neighborhood or village team
- Organize a meeting
- Fly in your neighborhood
- Organizing neighborhood actions such as a neighborhood walk with a heat camera
- Sharing your knowledge of energy
- Requesting quotations
What does it bring you?
You will get to know your own neighborhood or village even better and share your knowledge and experience with energy and technology. You contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions. In consultation it is possible to get a recommendation from Buurkracht for your CV or LinkedIn profile.
