Vereniging Buurtbus Wase is looking for a (co) board member

Vereniging Buurtbus Wase (BUS 438) provides the bus connection between Andijk and Enkhuizen. Small 8-person buses are driven by volunteers.

The association has been in existence for five years and was already transporting nearly 60,000 passengers a year until the outbreak of the corona pandemic.

We are an enthusiastic team with: 4 association board members, 4 technical coordinators and about 50 drivers who work for the passengers from Monday to Saturday.

Task:

Safeguard and monitor the continuity of the association together with the other board members.

The position within the board with the associated responsibilities and tasks will be determined and allocated in consultation with the current board.

Job requirements:

• Entrepreneurial and flexible attitude
• To be able to communicate well, both orally and in writing
• Can work well with a team of volunteers
• Thorough knowledge of Excel, Word and social media

General information:

• The position is unpaid; there is a reimbursement scheme for costs incurred
• The work will be approximately 8 hours per week and can be performed on different days and times.
• Once a month a meeting is held by the board.
• A few times a year we organize a pleasant meeting with snacks and drinks with all members and board members of the association.
• You are of course insured during this volunteer work.
• If you receive unemployment benefit, UWV permission is no longer required for this voluntary work.
• If desired, relevant training is provided
