About Buurtbemiddeling Venlo

Neighborhood Mediation Venlo is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to become a mediator and mediate in neighbor conflicts. Interested? If you are interested in becoming a mediator and you have the following conditions, then you are the mediator we are looking for. We are looking for people who: - be able to conduct a conversation between neighbors impartially; - be interested in fellow human beings and respect the opinion of others; - can listen well, summarize and ask questions; - being able to deal with resistance; - have at least 2 hours per week, be available for at least 1 ½ to 2 years and handle at least 6 cases per year; - participate in the Basic Training for Neighborhood Mediation and complete it successfully; - attend the annual refresher training and participate in the intervision evenings; - work together with their co-mediator (you always go out together) N.a.v. your application follows an invitation for a selection interview. If you are selected: - Basic training in neighborhood mediation of 2 days and 'return day'. The training is recognized by the Center for Crime Prevention and Security. The 1st day is Friday afternoon until the evening. The 2nd day is a whole Saturday. The 3rd meeting lasts 1 half day. If you have successfully completed the first two days, you will be deployed as a mediator. An important condition for the selection interview is that you are present all days of the training.
