Summary

Are you passionate about animal rights, veganism and creating engaging content?
Do you want to make a real impact and help us spread our message?

Detailed description

Are you passionate about animal rights, veganism and creating engaging content?

Do you really want to make an impact and help us spread our message on social media?

Do you have experience in creating images and writing texts for social media posts?

Then we are looking for you!

For our social media team we are looking for someone who can help create and post content on our channels for a few hours a week. It is important that you already have experience in this.

Background:

Bite Back is an animal rights/animal liberation organization that works for an animal-friendly society, without forgetting issues surrounding human rights and the climate.

We want to achieve this by conducting active and effective campaigns. Think of our actions around the Dolfinarium and around the dairy industry. We conduct action in various ways and always look again at what can work best at that specific location: from information campaigns to fun actions and sometimes a little bit naughty and disobedient.

Social media is extremely important to us in spreading the message, reaching the wider audience and building a community.

The primary goal of this feature is to help achieve this: increasing reach, professionalizing our content, and increasing interaction. through engaging posts, images, and possibly videos.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Within the team there are all sorts of tasks that can be done. At the moment we are looking for someone who:

- Create content for our social media channels, including text and images.

- Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages.

- Encourage dialogue, comments and discussion on the channels by asking questions, posting polls and the like.

- To investigate what works and what doesn't, how we can increase our reach and generate more interaction.

- Respond to upcoming events from the Foundation and tailor content to them (think of creating events, posting information, etc.).

- Maintain contact with people from other teams/campaigns within the Foundation to know what is going on, so that relevant information can be posted on social media in a timely manner.

We are looking for someone who:

- Demonstrable experience in creating social media content, including images and text.

- Is familiar with various social media platforms (at least Facebook and Instagram) and knows what works and what doesn't.

- Has a creative mindset and an eye for design and detail.

- Can also work independently.

- Has good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch.

- Has (basic) knowledge of design tools (we work with Canva Pro).

- Someone who can spare at least 3 hours per week (spread over the week) for volunteer work.

- Someone who wants to remain active for the Bite Back Foundation for at least 12 months (excluding holidays, etc. of course).

Please note: because we are a small foundation with limited resources, we cannot provide extensive training in working with social media. Therefore, we are really looking for someone with experience and someone who is determined to stay with us for at least a year. So only respond if you think you can meet this requirement.

And someone who also:

- Passionate about animal rights and veganism.

- Vegan is either a vegetarian on the way to veganism.

- Agree to our code of conduct.

What do we offer?

- The opportunity to have a tangible impact on the animal rights movement in the Netherlands.

- The opportunity to make a difference for the animals.

- The opportunity to gain valuable experience in social media management, content creation and digital marketing.

- The opportunity to work in a friendly team.

- The ability to expand your own portfolio.

- Autonomy and space for your ideas.

In addition, we are currently working on setting up benefits and events for our volunteers.
