We are looking for a Treasurer to manage the finances and take care of the financial administration of the Bite Back Foundation.
Detailed description
We are looking for a Treasurer on a voluntary basis to manage the finances and take care of the financial administration of the Bite Back Foundation.
The minimum time commitment for this position is 3 hours per week. The position will first be filled as an aspiring treasurer.
What are you going to do?
As treasurer you are responsible for the financial aspects of the foundation. Concretely, that means:
- Preparing the annual budget.
- Monitoring the budget.
- Preparing the annual financial report.
- Paying invoices, salary, tax and declarations.
- The monthly delivery of the donor collection file to the bank.
- Checking debits from the account.
- Archiving invoices and declarations.
- In addition, it is appreciated if you also want to be involved in raising financial resources, for example by writing to funds and recruiting donors. It is also possible to take care of the donor administration.
In addition to the above activities, you can also take on general management tasks. As a director you can be involved in one or more campaign teams or be responsible for one or more portfolios and deal with the various tasks of these portfolios. Bite Back currently has three campaign teams for the campaigns Milked Out, Dolfinarium-free Netherlands and the fish campaign and four portfolios: events & promotions, editorial, branding & products and objections & letters.
What do we ask?
- Complete agreement with the objectives of our foundation and drive to work towards them. That also means that you are vegan.
- Management experience is an advantage.
- Good managerial and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm, active thinking and cooperation.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
- Being able to work on the work several times a week.
