At Atlant we give space, literally and figuratively. For us, people are the most important thing. Every person is beautiful. We support vulnerable people. That is our raison d'être. We do this attentively, with full conviction, straight from the heart! Our employees, volunteers and informal carers are crucial in this, they are worth their weight in gold. Who are we?
Berkenhove is a location of Atlant, where meeting is important. Neighbors and/or residents of the neighborhood regularly come to Berkenhove to participate in various activities. The Grand cafe is the place for a delicious cup of coffee or tea.
Activities
In Berkenhove lives a lady who is still walking a bit independently inside the house, but she would like to go for a walk outside now that the weather is nice, but this is not possible without using a wheelchair and hopefully a volunteer who wants to come along and can push the wheelchair with the lady. On the way there is time for a chat and for attention, which is doubly enjoyable.
We ask
At least once a week, take an hour outside with the lady.
We offer
More exercise and fresh air for the volunteer and the resident. Good introduction to the resident and the first responsible employee, so that you have some more background information to be able to have a good conversation on the way. Explanation about driving with the wheelchair. And if necessary, familiarization with the beautiful surroundings of Berkenhove.
Time Spent
At least 1 hour a week but more is allowed . And the day or time of the walk can be discussed. Whenever it suits your agenda.
