There are people in countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt or China who are being arrested because they have a different opinion than the government. Other people are oppressed or severely discriminated against. Amnesty tries to free prisoners of conscience and protect people. By pressuring governments with as many letters and signatures of volunteers as possible, many results have been achieved.

Will you help?

Help harass presidents and ambassadors and organize a writing campaign at your school! Amnesty helps you with the topics, sample letters and addresses. You will also receive all necessary materials such as posters, writing pads and envelopes through Amnesty Education.

Discuss with your internship coordinator or mentor whether you can organize this internship at school. You can do the writing campaign in one day, but you can also organize it every Friday afternoon in the canteen, or during an English lesson. The point is that you write as many letters as possible with a lot of fellow students at your school.

Before carrying out your internship, you must prepare the Amnesty e-learning that you already have the necessary information for your social internship. The e-learning lasts approximately one and a half hours and this time counts towards the hours of your social internship. You can count on 8 hours for this internship; if you organize more writing moments, the number of hours increases.
