AUC's Breast & Health Screening event is back again! October 3rd.
AUC will be hosting a free health screening and breast exam for the women of St. Maarten. The breast exam will be performed by our very own board-certified oncologist Dr. Chobanyan. In addition, they will be educated about the risk factors and presentations of breast cancer.
Based on their prior experience and semester, students will be assigned to different stations. Those include registration, informed consent, health questionnaire, health assessment (blood pressure, blood glucose/cholesterol levels, vision, height/weight/BMI, and waist & hip circumference), breast screening questionnaire, and scribing for Dr. Chobanyan.
Participation in this event requires attendance to a training session (date TBD). You will receive details regarding your screening assignment prior to the training.
Lunch and transportation will be provided.
