Summary

Do you want to be physically active and contribute to better waste recycling together with AZC residents? Then register!

Detailed description

Perhaps you have already seen them driving: the volunteers of the Waste Collective Wageningen. Twice a week we ride a four-person bicycle with a trailer through Hoogstraat to collect cardboard and plastic from retailers. In this way, these raw materials no longer disappear into the incinerator, but can be recycled.

For the Tuesday group we are looking for a volunteer who can guide our participants, AZC residents. In concrete terms, this means that once every two weeks you pick up three people from the AZC, cycle around together and bring them back to the AZC mid-afternoon. So it is very useful if you have a car; the expenses will of course be reimbursed. In addition, it is also important that you are in reasonably good condition, because the bike and trailer do not move by themselves :-).

You get a lot in return:

  • happy shopkeepers
  • positive reactions from shoppers
  • you contribute to better recycling and fewer trucks in the city center
  • and most importantly: the AZC residents are very happy and grateful that they can contribute something to Wageningen society.
