Detailed description
The Advisory Council for Social Domain Stichtse Vecht (hereinafter referred to as the Advisory Council ) contributes ideas in co-creation and provides the Board with solicited and unsolicited advice. In doing so, emphatically championing a socially viable society with special attention to people in vulnerable circumstances. The advice is often formulated in a broad sense with the collaborating network groups / supporters around the Advisory Council.
What is the Advisory Council
- Is independent. Consists of members who serve in a personal capacity for four years and who live in Stichtse Vecht;
- Meets monthly on the 1st Wednesday, from 7.30 pm, of the month;
- Participates in meetings and consultations within the municipality and in the region;
- Collaborates with advocacy network groups;
- Thoroughly advises the board on average 17 times a year.
What does the Advisory Council ask
- Having an eye for the collective interests of all residents.
- To be able to critically assess policy and implementation.
- Able to work well together and be a team player.
- Be willing to volunteer at least 4 hours a week.
Day(s) and parts of the day: Wednesday evening.
Working hours, frequency and duration: four hours a week
Skills:
Who is looking for the Advisory Council: residents, who
- To be able to (co-) prepare advice and other documents.
- Have good written and communication skills.
- Being involved in or functioning within their residential core/neighbourhood.
- Not being employed by the municipality or its collaborating partners who have an interest in municipal policy.
- Represent the Advisory Council internally and externally.
- Willing to share her/his knowledge/skills.
General:
A lot of knowledge and expertise of the social domain, the municipal organization and, above all, pleasure and energy with/from your work.
Induction method and guidance:
From the DB and the Supporter.
Schooling:
P art can take in meetings, consultations and courses.
Expense allowance: A volunteer allowance.

About Adviesraad Sociaal Domein Stichtse Vecht
De Adviesraad Sociaal Domein Stichtse Vecht geeft, gevraagd en ongevraagd, onafhankelijk advies aan het college van B en W, met als doel om het gemeentelijk beleid en de uitvoering hiervan te beïnvloeden, zodat alle inwoners van Stichtse Vecht op basis van zelfredzaamheid optimaal kunnen participeren in de samenleving. De Adviesraad stelt nadrukkelijk hierbij op te komen voor een sociaal leefbare samenleving met bijzondere aandacht voor de mens in kwetsbare omstandigheden. De Adviesraad richt zich op drie belangrijke Taakvelden: 1. Wonen, Welzijn en Zorg (Wmo), 2. Sociale Zaken (Participatiewet, Schuldhulpverlening en Werk en Inkomen), 3. Jeugdzorg (Jeugdwet en Wet Passend Onderwijs). In Taakveldgroepsverband wordt er gewerkt aan de gestelde doelen, waarbij tevens een relatie wordt onderhouden met de relevante regionale en landelijke Netwerkgroepen (o.a. de Jongerenraad Stichtse Vecht, de Seniorenraad Stichtse Vecht, het Platform Cliëntenraden Stichtse Vecht, Netwerk Beter Samen, de Sportraad, het Platform Gehandicapten, de Kerken, Zorgbelang, etc.).
