July 1st we celebrate the abolition of slavery; Keti Koti. In the Stek a Heri heri meal is cooked and eaten by 50 people.
On July 1st we commemorate the abolition of slavery; Keti Koti. To celebrate this, a Heri Heri meal is cooked for a group of 50 people. Heri heri consists of cassava, corn and sweet potato. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our cooking group. If you have experience with the Surinamese/Antillean kitchen, that is a welcome addition.
