You will assist with the development and implementation of ecoliteracy lessons for primary school children in the Droevendaal food forest. The lessons are prepared by a teacher.
The Ecoliteracy program at the Droevendaal food forest is designed to teach children to feel at home in nature. They learn about nature itself, but also about food, cooking, and working together. The program is based on the three permaculture principles: care for the earth, care for people, and fair sharing. Children learn about all three by using their heads, hearts, and hands.
You can help with the setup and execution of the lessons. The lessons are in the morning from 9 to 11:00 or from 12:00 to 14:00 on Thursdays and Fridays until mid-November. The teacher and volunteers start half an hour earlier to set everything up and go over everything briefly.
We would like you to help with at least 3 lessons. If you sign up, the teacher will contact you to get acquainted.

ReGeneratie seeks a balanced integration of production, nature, and community within the landscape.
The organization works with young people and students because it is important that they can learn about this subject for a sustainable future. ReGeneratie supports the Droevendaal Food Forest at WUR, mentors students, and supports an ecoliteracy program for basic education within the food forest.
Through the Droevendaal Food Forest, head, heart, and hands come together again in research and education.
All knowledge gained during the development of these projects is made available open-source via the website, tours, courses, and other networks. The projects are monitored over the long term through student research.
