Make a difference in a developing country like Gambia, for example as a (subject) teacher, teaching assistant, childcare worker, healthcare worker or welfare worker.
The Gambia offers you the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a community, while developing yourself personally and professionally. In a role that matches your education and/or experience. For example, you could teach English, organize creative activities for children, or, something completely different, provide essential care in local hospitals and pharmacies. Experience the culture from the inside and build unforgettable memories!
Education
You help children and young people by first observing the teacher and assisting with the English lesson, and/or teaching independently, you organize creative or sporting activities and thus contribute to their growth and development.
Care and welfare
Work with local professionals in hospitals, pharmacies and dental practices. Or support children with disabilities and learn essential skills in an international context.
This is you
You are at least 18 years old upon departure. Naturally, you are in excellent, healthy physical and mental condition. You are naturally patient, flexible and reliable. And of course, you are interested in other cultures. Your education and/or experience correspond to one of the fields of expertise. There is a registration procedure in which you must be prepared to apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). We will pay the costs of the VOG.
Invest in your own development
You must be prepared to cover the costs associated with this volunteer work yourself (preparation and guidance costs, ticket, accommodation costs and meals).
